Crumpit Woods Fourplex

Date: May 2026

Location: Squamish

Our client came to us early in the implementation of Bill 44, which introduced new small-scale multi-unit housing requirements across British Columbia. The changes created new opportunities to build multiple homes on properties that had traditionally been limited to single-family housing. Knowing that we had already done extensive research into what was possible and were working on another fourplex design in Squamish, our client approached us to explore the potential of his Crumpit Woods property.

Our in-house design team developed a stacked townhouse building with four three-bedroom homes within a single structure. From the street, the building was designed to fit comfortably within a neighbourhood that is still primarily made up of single-family homes.

With incredible views of the Chief and down Howe Sound, the design makes the most of the property through large windows and large-format patio doors in each home. The upper floor on either side of the building contains a three-bedroom residence, while the main and lower floors contain two additional three-bedroom homes.

Each unit was designed around the way people live in Squamish, with plenty of storage, 9-foot ceilings and a dedicated garage. The result is bright, open and functional housing with exceptional views and enough space for everyday mountain-town living.

This became the first project we delivered in Squamish under the Bill 44 framework, and we are incredibly proud to have completed both the design and the build.
