The Blue Water Concepts Ltd. (Design/Build) Construction Scholarship is an annual award designed to invest in the future of our industry. We know that the right tools and education are the foundation of a successful career, so we’ve kept the application process simple to ensure local students can get the support they need. This $1,500 award is available each year to help a dedicated student take the next step in their professional journey.

We are looking for hardworking individuals who are ready to turn their interest in building and design into a career. If you are a student in British Columbia with a passion for how things are made and a drive to learn, we want to hear from you.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Education: Graduating high school students pursuing post-secondary education in British Columbia.

  • Fields of Study: Program areas may include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, interior design, architecture, engineering technology, and related construction fields.

  • Career Focus: A demonstrated interest in building a career within the construction, design, or trades industry.

Application Process

Ready to Apply?

We’ve kept our application process straightforward because we know you’re busy finishing your grad year. We aren’t looking for a perfect academic essay; we want to hear about your passion for the industry and where you see yourself in the future. Take your time to tell us your story and show us the pride you take in your work.

Required Materials:

  • Letter of Intent: A 300–600 word letter describing your career goals and your interest in construction, design, or the trades.

  • Two References: One from a teacher and one from an industry contact (such as an employer, coach, or mentor).

Application Steps:

  1. Prepare Your Package: Gather your letter and your two references into one clear file or folder.

  2. Review Your Work: Give your materials a final proofread to ensure everything is clear and complete.

  3. Submit to Your School: Hand in your completed package to your school’s scholarship representative by March 31. If your school does not facilitate the application process internally, please email your completed application to bwcscholarship@bluewaterconcepts.ca by the deadline.
