Our Diamond Head project was a true design-build – renovate project, encompassing all aspects of what Blue Water Concepts has to offer. We spent the better part of 6 months navigating the local building bylaws and coming up with a design that worked for both our clients and the local building/planning departments. The clients had a long “wish list” and the scope of the project was huge. We were able to take it from permit approval to lock up in exactly one year. The project included a very extensive renovation and addition to the existing house, an overall addition of 450sf of living space. On the bottom floor, we added a large private walkout deck and a new en-suite on the upper floor, both of which look out over the new in-ground pool and fully transformed ½ acre lot. For the pool, we built two “pool sheds” that would house a mechanical room and storage in one and an optional quiet and detached office retreat in the other. The new addition to the house was connected to a two-story carriage house via a 55’ breezeway that provided not only passage between the house and the new rental suite, but also an immense amount of privacy for the pool and new backyard space. The carriage house was 1900sf with a private garage space on the lower floor and a modern two-bedroom suite on the upper floor. At the rear of the property, we built a large 745sf workshop with a storage loft above and access from the rear-drive of the lot. All of this, clad in black siding for a sleek and modern finish, along with a new front entrance to the home, landscaping, retaining walls and extensive fencing, made this one of the largest project Blue Water has taken on to date.

There is a better way to build.
